1. How Skills Work

Skills are special combat and utility abilities unique to each faction. They are learned by spending Gold to unlock nodes in your faction's skill tree. Every skill has a minimum character level requirement before it can be purchased — you cannot skip nodes; the tree must be progressed sequentially within each branch.

Active vs. Passive Skills

Skills are divided into Active and Passive types. Active skills are manually triggered during combat and occupy one of your equipped skill slots. Passive skills provide constant benefits without occupying a slot.

  • Active Slot Limit: You may equip up to 3 Active skills simultaneously. These are mapped to your skill bar and triggered during combat rounds.
  • Passive Skills: There is no limit on equipped passive skills. Every passive you unlock is automatically active at all times.
  • Swapping Skills: Active skills can be swapped at any time outside of combat, free of charge. Swapping during an active dungeon run is not permitted.

Scaling

Skill damage and effectiveness scale with your core faction stat:

  • Vampire skills scale primarily with DEX (Dexterity). Precision, speed, and finesse define the Vampire combat style — every point of DEX adds approximately 0.8% to active skill damage.
  • Werewolf skills scale primarily with STR (Strength). Raw power and aggression define Werewolf abilities — every point of STR adds approximately 0.9% to active skill damage.

Some skills also have secondary scaling modifiers — for example, Vampire healing abilities scale with INT, and Werewolf defensive skills scale with VIT. These secondary scales are noted in each skill's description.

Skill Respec

You may fully reset your skill tree using a Skill Reset Scroll. Scrolls are available from the in-game shop for Gold, as Battle Pass rewards, and occasionally from weekly challenges. Gold spent on skills is not refunded on reset.

WARNING

Resetting your skill tree removes all learned skills immediately. If you are in the middle of a dungeon or PvP queue when a reset is applied, the change takes effect after the current activity completes.

2. Skill Categories

Every skill in the game belongs to one of six categories. Category classification determines how it interacts with buffs, debuffs, and synergy bonuses.

Category Trigger Type Description
Damage Active — Manual Deals direct damage to one or more targets. Scales with faction primary stat (DEX/STR). Subject to target's DEF reduction.
Buff Active — Manual Enhances the caster's own stats or alters combat state for a fixed duration. Cannot stack the same buff twice unless noted.
Debuff Active — Manual Applies a negative status to a target (Bleed, Slow, Weaken, etc.). Duration is affected by target's resistance stats.
Heal Active — Manual Restores HP to self or an ally. Healing power scales with secondary INT stat. Subject to a 3-round combat healing cap.
Passive Aura Passive — Always active Provides a constant stat bonus or percentage modifier that is always applied. Does not require activation. Stacks with other passives.
Reaction Passive — Conditional Triggers automatically when a specific condition is met (e.g., on receiving a critical hit, on falling below 20% HP). One reaction skill fires per qualifying trigger.

3. Vampire Skill Tree

The Vampire skill tree runs from V1 to V50. Nodes are grouped into three branches: Shadow (stealth and precision damage), Blood (life-drain and sustain), and Eclipse (powerful cooldown abilities unlocked at high levels). Below are the first ten skills covering the opening progression.

ID Name Category Level Req. Effect
V1 Shadowstrike Damage 1 A swift melee strike from the shadows dealing 120% weapon damage. Deals +20% damage if the target was not attacked last round.
V2 Blood Drain Heal 3 Drains life force from target, dealing 80% weapon damage and healing self for 50% of damage dealt. Heal scales with INT.
V3 Dark Cloak Buff 5 Wraps the caster in shadow for 3 rounds, reducing incoming physical damage by 15% and increasing DEX by 8% for the duration.
V4 Crimson Frenzy Buff 8 Enters a blood-fuelled frenzy for 4 rounds, granting +25% ATK speed and causing basic attacks to apply a minor Bleed (5 damage/round for 3 rounds).
V5 Bat Form Buff 10 Briefly transforms into bat swarm (1 round), becoming untargetable and repositioning. Next attack deals +40% damage. 8-round cooldown.
V6 Soul Rend Damage 13 Tears at the target's soul, ignoring 25% of their DEF and dealing 150% weapon damage. Applies Weakened (–10% DEF) for 2 rounds.
V7 Mist Step Buff 16 Instantly dissolves into mist for 1 round, dodging the next attack with 100% certainty. Grants +15% DEX on re-materialisation for 2 rounds.
V8 Bloodrage Buff 20 Fury builds with each hit received. For 5 rounds, each incoming hit stacks Bloodrage (max 5 stacks), each stack adding +6% ATK. At 5 stacks, next active skill deals double damage.
V9 Phantom Sight Passive Aura 24 Permanently increases Critical Hit chance by 8% and reveals hidden enemy buffs at the start of combat, showing their active skill cooldowns.
V10 Eclipse Bite Damage 28 A devastating fanged strike that deals 220% weapon damage and steals 1 active buff from the target, applying it to self for 3 rounds. 12-round cooldown.

NOTE

Skills V11–V50 continue the three-branch structure, introducing AoE abilities, party-support skills, and the Eclipse branch's signature transformation skills at V40+.

4. Werewolf Skill Tree

The Werewolf skill tree runs from W1 to W50. Branches are divided into Feral (raw damage and aggression), Pack (support and group buffs), and Moon (powerful transformation abilities available from mid-tree). Below are the first ten skills.

ID Name Category Level Req. Effect
W1 Rend Damage 1 A savage claw swipe dealing 130% weapon damage. Applies Bleed (8 damage/round for 3 rounds) on a successful hit.
W2 Pack Howl Buff 3 Lets out a rallying howl, boosting own ATK by 12% for 4 rounds. In group content, also grants all allies +8% ATK for 2 rounds.
W3 Iron Fur Passive Aura 5 Permanently hardens the hide, adding +10% physical DEF and reducing Bleed duration on self by 1 round.
W4 Berserker Buff 8 Enters a berserker state for 5 rounds: +30% ATK, –15% DEF. If HP drops below 30% while active, extends duration by 2 rounds.
W5 Moon Surge Damage 10 Channels lunar energy into a slam dealing 160% weapon damage. Damage bonus increases by 5% for each active Bleed on target (max +25%).
W6 Bone Crush Debuff 13 A bone-shattering blow dealing 110% weapon damage. Reduces target's DEF by 20% for 3 rounds and interrupts their next active skill.
W7 Feral Instinct Reaction 16 Triggers when receiving a critical hit: automatically counter-attacks for 70% weapon damage and gains +10% dodge chance for 2 rounds.
W8 Primal Rage Buff 20 Unleashes primal fury for 4 rounds, causing all attacks to hit twice at 70% each. Cannot be interrupted or Silenced while active.
W9 Alpha Roar Debuff 24 A terrifying roar that reduces all enemy ATK by 18% for 3 rounds and has a 35% chance to cause Dread (target skips one round).
W10 Eclipse Smash Damage 28 Leaps and crashes down with full body force, dealing 250% weapon damage in an area and knocking all targets back (–1 ATK action next round). 14-round cooldown.

4.5. Tier 5 Expansion Skills (V51–V65 / W51–W65)

The Tier 5 Expansion brings 30 new skills (15 per race, IDs V51-V65 and W51-W65) unlocked at level 55+. These skills include the game's first true Ultimate abilities (V65 Eclipse Rite and W65 Moonfall Howl) available at level 75. All Tier 5 skills require at least one Tier 4 skill of your race to be already unlocked.

TIER 5 PREREQUISITE

Before you can unlock any Tier 5 skill (T5), your character must have already spent skill points on at least one Tier 4 skill of your race. This prevents players from rushing straight to ultimates without building a supporting kit.

ULTIMATE ABILITIES

The two Ultimate skills (V65 Eclipse Rite, W65 Moonfall Howl) are the most powerful abilities in the game. They cost 75/80 MP, have a 10-turn cooldown, and can only be learned at level 75 after first unlocking at least one other T5 skill. Only one Ultimate can be slotted at a time.

5. Prestige Skills

Upon reaching Prestige rank, a new tier of cross-faction skills becomes available. These Prestige Skills are extremely powerful and cannot be obtained through the regular skill tree. Each Prestige rank (P1–P5) unlocks access to one Prestige Skill slot.

Prestige Skills are purchased with Prestige Marks, a currency earned only through Prestige-level content. See the Prestige & Mastery page for details on how to reach Prestige rank.

Rank Unlocked Skill Name Faction Effect
P1 Blood Surge Vampire On kill, instantly recovers 20% max HP and grants +15% DEX for 5 rounds. Does not consume an active skill slot for activation — triggers automatically.
P1 Iron Will Werewolf When HP falls below 15%, automatically activates a shield absorbing 40% of incoming damage for 3 rounds. 20-round cooldown.
P2 Void Adaptation Both Passive. Reduces all incoming magical damage by 12% and grants immunity to the first Silence or Stun applied each combat.
P3 Crimson Eclipse Vampire Ultimate ability. Transforms into Eclipse form for 6 rounds: all skills cost no cooldown, damage +40%, each hit drains 5% target max HP. 30-round cooldown.
P3 Apex Predator Werewolf Ultimate ability. Enters Apex form for 6 rounds: all attacks hit twice, DEF increased by 30%, and Pack Howl aura doubles. 30-round cooldown.
P5 Eternal Hunger Vampire Passive. Every 5th attack made in a single combat is automatically a critical hit. Crit damage bonus permanently increased by +20%.
P5 Moonblood Pact Werewolf Passive. STR permanently gains 1% for each unique Werewolf skill unlocked (max +50%). Also grants full immunity to the Weakened debuff.

6. Skill Synergies

Certain skill combinations create powerful synergies that exceed the sum of their parts. Experimenting with your active skill loadout is part of the game's depth. Below are several well-known synergy combinations used by experienced players.

Vampire: Bloodrage + Shadowstrike

Setup: Equip both Bloodrage (V8) and Shadowstrike (V1). Open combat by taking hits deliberately with Dark Cloak (V3) active to stack Bloodrage to 5. Once at max stacks, trigger Shadowstrike — the next active skill double-damage proc from Bloodrage applies to Shadowstrike's 120% damage calculation, resulting in a single hit exceeding 240% weapon damage, further amplified by Shadowstrike's "not attacked last round" bonus if you manage positioning.

Vampire: Mist Step + Eclipse Bite

Setup: Use Mist Step (V7) to dodge an incoming attack, then immediately follow with Eclipse Bite (V10) in the same rotation. The +15% DEX bonus from Mist Step's re-materialisation stacks directly into Eclipse Bite's damage scaling, boosting the 220% base hit further. Additionally, if the enemy was buffed (likely in Eclipse War), you steal their buff — turning their advantage into yours mid-fight.

Werewolf: Pack Howl + Berserker

Setup: Activate Pack Howl (W2) first to gain the +12% ATK self-buff, then immediately trigger Berserker (W4). Berserker's +30% ATK stacks additively with Pack Howl's bonus, bringing total ATK gain to +42% for the overlapping duration. In group content, Pack Howl's ally buff applies before Berserker fires, meaning your party also benefits from the temporary boost window.

Werewolf: Bone Crush + Moon Surge

Setup: Land Bone Crush (W6) to reduce target DEF by 20% and trigger Bleed via Rend (W1) in the same round. Then follow with Moon Surge (W5). Moon Surge already gains +5% damage per active Bleed, and with the target's DEF reduced by 20%, the effective damage output is drastically amplified. Against high-DEF targets such as dungeon bosses, this two-skill rotation consistently outperforms single-skill burst strategies.

TIP

Synergies are not hard-coded — the game's stat system allows any combination that logically stacks. Experiment in the PvE Practice Area (accessible from the hub) to test loadouts without risking resources.
