Loot Box & Drop Rate Disclosure
This page lists the exact probability of every randomized reward in Vampires vs. Werewolves. We publish these numbers because we believe players deserve to know what they are paying for or working towards. If any odd here disagrees with what you observe in-game over many attempts, please contact us.
1. Monster Loot Drops (Combat)
When a monster dies, the loot table rolls each item independently. Drop rates depend on monster tier and your character's Luck stat. The numbers below assume base Luck (no buff).

Lucky Day buff (5% chance per daily check-in) raises drop rate by +20% for that day. Battle Pass bonus drop rate stacks additively up to +15%.
2. Boss Drops (Weekly Boss-of-the-Week)

3. Crafting & Enchanting
Crafted item rarity follows recipe-defined tiers (deterministic). Enchanting outcomes are random:

Enchanting Insurance can be bought from the in-game Auction House for in-game gold (no premium currency).
4. Gem Shop Loot Boxes (Paid)
VvW currently offers two randomized paid bundles. Both follow these rules:
- Disclosed odds (see tables below)
- Pity timer guarantees the highest-rarity reward within a fixed number of opens
- No power-affecting items inside — cosmetics, gold, gems, and consumables only
- All cosmetics inside are also obtainable through gameplay (events, achievements, or the seasonal cosmetic store)
Crimson Cache (300 💎 / open)

Pity timer: Legendary guaranteed at the 80th open if not received earlier. Counter is per-account and persists across seasons.
Lunar Vault (300 💎 / open)
Same rarity distribution as Crimson Cache — werewolf-themed cosmetic pool. Same pity timer.
5. Pity Timer Mechanics
Every paid loot box and most in-game randomized rewards include a pity timer:
- Counter visible in the loot box UI: "X / 80 to guaranteed Legendary"
- Counter never resets on a high-rarity drop — it only resets when the pity itself triggers (after the guarantee, the next box starts at 0)
- Cross-box pity does not exist: opening Crimson Cache does not progress Lunar Vault counter
6. What is NOT in any randomized reward
To prevent pay-to-win, the following are never included in any paid randomized bundle:
- Gear with combat stats (weapons, armor, jewelry)
- Skill levels, attribute points, or skill tree resets
- Permanent character power increases
- Items that can only be obtained from paid loot boxes (cosmetic-exclusive bundles include disclaimer + return policy)
7. Regional restrictions
- Belgium and the Netherlands: paid randomized loot boxes are disabled. Players from these regions can purchase the equivalent rewards directly from the gem shop with no randomization.
- Under 18: paid loot box purchase is blocked at checkout via age verification (self-attestation + flagged for review).
- UK Children's Code: compliant — no paid randomization is presented to age-flagged accounts.
8. Currency conversion
1 💎 (Gem) = approximately $0.01 USD at the base purchase tier (varies by bundle). The gem shop displays equivalents in your local currency via the in-app currency switcher. See the pricing page for full conversion tables.
9. Reporting discrepancies
If you observe odds that significantly differ from the disclosed numbers over a meaningful sample (e.g. ≥ 100 attempts), please send the data via our contact form. We will investigate and, if confirmed, refund affected players and update this page within 14 days.
10. Versioning
This document is versioned alongside the game. Numerical odds are reviewed each balance patch (quarterly). Any change is announced in the patch notes at least 7 days before going live.
