Mythic Forge Master Vulkan operates the single Mythic-tier crafting facility in Aeternum from the Ancient Catacombs, producing weapons and armor of such exceptional quality that both factions treat access to his forge as a strategic asset. He accepts commissions only from individuals who provide appropriate materials, complete his prerequisites, and demonstrate they can be trusted with what he creates.
Background & History
Vulkan's lineage traces to an ancient smithing tradition that predates the current racial categories in Aeternum, which is why he fits neatly into neither faction's cultural framework. He has been operating the Mythic Forge for one hundred and twenty years and has produced fewer than two hundred items in that time, each one documented and known to both faction military commands. He turned down a commission from Lord Malachar Voss and survived the refusal by being too valuable to eliminate and too principled to coerce. He considers both facts adequate protection.
