Overview
Elder Huntress Dawn is the oldest living werewolf, a figure of such historical significance that both packs and academics travel to the Bone Fortress to hear her speak. She carries the oral traditions of the werewolf people — histories, rituals, and knowledge that predate written records — in a memory that has remained sharp through two centuries of combat, loss, and survival. She is a living connection to who the werewolves were before the war defined them.
Background & History
Dawn fought in the First War as a young hunter, survived the Great Retreat, and has outlived every individual she trained, fought beside, or led. Her survival is attributed variously to exceptional constitution, Moon Spirit favor, and her own explanation — she simply refused to die because she had things she needed to remember. She moved to the Bone Fortress after the death of her last surviving contemporary, choosing its isolation as appropriate to the scale of her separateness from current generations. Packs send representatives annually to learn; she never refuses instruction.
Personality & Allegiances
Unhurried, intensely present, and carrying the specific gravity of someone who has the perspective of two centuries behind everything they say. She does not mourn the past; she uses it as context.
