Status Effects — Complete List

VvW has 26 status effects split into 4 categories: control (stun/root/silence), DoT (bleed/burn/poison/shock), buffs (haste/empower/shield), debuffs (slow/weaken/expose). Most effects stack to a max of 3; tier-3 stacks have visual indicators on the combatant model.

Control effects

Stun: skip turn (max 2 turns). Root: cannot move tiles, can still cast (max 3 turns). Silence: cannot cast skills, basic attacks only (max 2 turns). Bound: tied to current slot until cleansed (no max). Fear: forces basic-attack on random target (max 1 turn).

Damage-over-time (DoT)

Bleed: physical, ignores armor (max 5 stacks × 50% ATK). Burn: magic, AoE on stack (max 3 stacks). Poison: % HP per turn, lethal at 5 stacks. Shock: chance to stun on damage taken.

Buffs and debuffs

Haste/Slow: ±25% Initiative. Empower/Weaken: ±15% damage. Shield/Expose: ±20% incoming damage. All stack to 3, refresh duration on re-apply. Cleanse strips the worst effect first.
