Vampire Race Guide: Stats, Passives, Best Builds & Progression
The Vampire race offers the highest ceiling for solo PvP, magic damage, and lifesteal builds. This guide covers everything — racial passives, subclass selection, stat allocation by level, faction progression, and how to reach endgame as a Vampire.
Vampire Racial Passives
Choosing Vampire gives you a permanent passive set that shapes your entire build strategy:
| Passive | Effect | Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Crimson Affinity | +10% INT base | Best INT scaling in game — essential for Blood Mage |
| Lifesteal Mastery | Lifesteal +2% flat bonus | Stacks with gear lifesteal — keeps you alive in long fights |
| Night Predator | +5% ATK during Blood Moon event | Strongest during monthly 48h event windows |
| Undying Will | HP ≤20% threshold grants +8% DEF | Survival passive — pairs well with Dark Knight builds |
| Shadow Step | +3% evasion vs melee attacks | Helps Shadow Assassin dodge physical burst |
Available Subclasses
Vampires have access to 3 subclasses. Each plays a radically different role:
Blood Mage — INT/WIS Magic Damage
Role: Highest sustained damage dealer. Uses INT for spell power and WIS for mana efficiency. Lifesteal passive makes it surprisingly self-sustaining in PvE. Excellent in arena at Platinum+. Weak in clan wars (glass cannon).
Best for: Solo PvP, dungeons, farming, Infinity Tower
Shadow Assassin — DEX/LCK Burst Damage
Role: Highest burst damage in a 3-skill window. Relies on crits — DEX 150 and LCK 100 are both soft cap targets. Stealth opener gives +15% first-hit damage. Squishy — dies fast if burst doesn't connect.
Best for: Arena 1v1, Eclipse War kill-scoring, tournament play
Dark Knight — VIT/STR Tank
Role: The premier tank in VvW. Combines Vampire's Undying Will passive with heavy DEF gear for near-unkillable survivability. Deals lower damage but excels at dungeon tanking and clan war frontlining.
Best for: Party dungeons D6-D10, clan wars, world bosses

Level-by-Level Progression Roadmap
Early Game: Levels 1–25
At this stage, don't overthink your stats. The differences are small and you'll likely respec later (free respec available until level 10, then paid at level × 50 gold).
- Blood Mage start: 60% INT, 25% WIS, 15% VIT — learn your skill rotation early
- Shadow Assassin start: 60% DEX, 30% LCK, 10% VIT — hit Crystalwood Ruins for fast crit farming
- Dark Knight start: 50% VIT, 35% STR, 15% WIS — run D1-D3 as soon as unlocked
- Complete Crystal Shards Ch.1 (The Awakening) for your first Uncommon weapon
- Join a clan by level 20 — clan XP bonus is free progression
Mid Game: Levels 26–60
This is where your build identity solidifies. Start targeting soft caps for your primary stat.
- Unlock Faction Reputation with Crimson Empire (Vampire faction) — grind to Respected (40) for the Crimson Set bonus
- Blood Mage: push INT to 150 by level 40, WIS to 80 by level 50
- Shadow Assassin: DEX 120 by level 40, LCK 80 by level 50 — start arena grind at Gold rank
- Dark Knight: VIT 140 by level 45, start running party dungeons D4-D5
- Complete Crystal Shards Ch.2-4 for Epic item rewards
- Unlock Infinity Tower at level 30 — floor 25 weekly for rune drops
Late Game: Levels 61–80
- All Vampires: finalize primary stat soft cap, begin optimizing secondary
- Run Crystal Shards Ch.5 (requires Gold arena rank) and Ch.6 (Tower floor 50)
- Push Crimson Empire reputation to Honored (60) — unlocks -5% AH fee
- Party dungeon D7-D8 for Legendary gear drops
- Prepare for first prestige: need gear at maximum current level before resetting
Endgame & Prestige
Prestige multiplier = 1 + (prestige_level × 0.02). Each prestige grants +2% to all stats multiplicatively.
- Prestige 1-3: straightforward power gain — re-level with stat knowledge
- Prestige 4-5: pair with Legendary gear for strongest scaling
- Crystal Shards Ch.7 (The Crystal Throne): final boss requires World Boss coordination — plan with clan
- Exalted Crimson Empire (80+ rep): -10% AH fee, exclusive Crimson Empire title
Best Companions for Vampires
| Companion | Passive Bonus | Best With |
|---|---|---|
| Nightbat | +4% lifesteal | Blood Mage — stacks with racial |
| Shadow Wisp | +6% crit chance | Shadow Assassin — maximizes burst |
| Stone Gargoyle | +8% DEF | Dark Knight — extra survivability |
| Crimson Imp | +5% INT | Blood Mage — marginal but consistent |
| Void Specter | +3% all stats (S-tier) | All Vampire builds — best late-game choice |
Vampire vs Werewolf: Which Race to Choose?
| Content Type | Vampire | Werewolf |
|---|---|---|
| Solo PvP (Arena) | Better (burst + lifesteal) | Competitive |
| PvE Farming | Good | Better (STR passive + Pack Bonus) |
| Party Dungeons | Tank or DPS | Better (Pack Shaman healer) |
| Clan Wars | Good | Better (Moon Warrior frontline) |
| Eclipse War | Better (Shadow Assassin kills) | Competitive |
| Magic Damage | Best (Crimson Affinity INT) | Not viable |
| Crafting | Slightly better (Alchemist synergy) | Equal |
| World Bosses | Good | Better (Pack Bonus in group) |
Common Mistakes New Vampire Players Make
- Splitting INT and STR: Hybrid physical/magic builds don't work in VvW — pick one damage type and commit.
- Ignoring WIS as Blood Mage: Running out of mana mid-dungeon kills your DPS — WIS 120 cap is mandatory at endgame.
- Skipping Crimson Empire rep: The -10% AH fee at Exalted saves thousands of gold per week — it's passive income.
- Prestiging too early: Prestige before your gear is maxed for your current level — otherwise you grind twice as long.
- Playing Shadow Assassin in clan wars: Burst builds die immediately in multi-target clan war environments. Use Dark Knight instead.
- Not using the Night Predator passive: Activate XP elixirs and AH flips specifically during Blood Moon — the +5% ATK stacks with everything.
