The Stat System Overview
VvW has 6 primary stats, each with a soft cap (diminishing returns threshold) and a hard cap (maximum effective value):
- Blood Power (vampire primary damage): Soft cap 3,000 / Hard cap 6,000
- Moon Power (werewolf primary damage): Soft cap 3,000 / Hard cap 6,000
- Endurance (HP pool): Soft cap 2,500 / Hard cap 5,000
- Fortitude (damage mitigation): Soft cap 2,000 / Hard cap 4,000
- Accuracy (hit rate): Cap 1,500 (must reach; no soft cap)
- Fortune (drop rate, critical strike): Soft cap 1,800 / Hard cap 3,600
Rule 1: Cap Accuracy First
Below 1,500 Accuracy, 15โ20% of your attacks miss. This effectively reduces your total damage output by 15โ20% regardless of how high your Blood/Moon Power is. Always cap Accuracy before investing in damage stats.
Diminishing Returns Explained
Below the soft cap: each point of a stat gives full value (1 point Blood Power = 1% damage increase). Above the soft cap: each point gives 50% value. This means stacking beyond the soft cap is still valuable, but investing in secondary stats may provide better return per point.

How to Respec Stats
Stats are partially allocated through gear and partially through a free point system. Gear stats are fixed โ only changeable by swapping gear. Free points (earned via leveling) can be respecced at any Trainer NPC for a gold fee (scales with level: ~500 gold per respec at level 100).
Respec whenever: changing playstyle, preparing for a specific boss, entering a PvP season, or after a major patch that changes stat scaling.
Stat Priority After Every Patch
Developer balance patches regularly adjust stat scaling. After each patch, check:
- Were any stat caps changed?
- Did any ability's scaling coefficient change (e.g., Blood Nova now scales 120% instead of 100% with Blood Power)?
- Are any classes now over- or under-stacking a specific stat?
The official patch notes include explicit stat change documentation.
