5 Fastest Leveling Methods:
Level 1 to 80 in a Week
The current speedrun record is 5 days 14 hours. Most players can hit level 80 in 7 days with consistent play. Here's exactly how.
Before You Begin: XP Multiplier Stacking
Before using any of the 5 methods, activate every XP multiplier available. These stack multiplicatively and can double or triple your XP gain:
- Rested XP Bonus: Log off in a tavern/inn. Accumulates 1.5× XP up to 24 hours offline. Always log off at a rest point.
- Bloodmoon Elixir: Craftable consumable. +25% XP for 2 hours. Costs 400 gold to craft, worth every coin.
- Clan XP Bonus: Being in a clan with Tier 3+ Hall gives +10% XP to all members. Join any active clan before leveling.
- Mentor System: Have a level 80 player use "Mentor" status on you. Gives +15% XP but requires an active high-level friend.
- First-Login Daily: First session of the day gives +20% XP for the first 2 hours. Don't waste this window on crafting or trading.
Rested (1.5×) + Elixir (1.25×) + Clan (1.10×) + Daily (1.20×) = 2.475× base XP. A kill that gives 100 XP normally gives 247.5 XP with full stack. This is the difference between 7-day and 14-day leveling.
The 5 Methods
The main story questline is the fastest path from level 1 to 45 — period. Story quests give 3–5× more XP than side quests and have no travel downtime (each quest leads directly to the next location).
- Never skip story quests before level 45
- Don't grind mobs while leveling on story — questing XP far exceeds kill XP
- Accept all side quests in the same area but only complete them if they're in your direct path
- Story quests in the Crimson Highlands (levels 30–45) are particularly XP-dense — rush there
Once you outpace story quest XP scaling (around level 45), switching to Elite Monster farming in the Moonveil Wastes zone is the most efficient option. Elites respawn every 4–6 minutes and give 400–800 XP each.
- Moonveil Circuit: 8 elite spawn points in a rough circle. Clear time with a good build: ~12 minutes per full circuit.
- Group up: killing elites with 2–3 players gives reduced XP per player, but the kill speed more than compensates
- Best builds for circuit clearing: Pack Warrior (AoE cleave) or Blood Mage (AoE spells)
- Stack your Bloodmoon Elixir during elite circuits — this is your highest XP/hour window
Daily quests reset every 24 hours and collectively give ~18,000–25,000 XP per day — enough to gain 1–2 full levels at mid-range, and still meaningful at high levels. Skipping even 2 daily cycles in a week is the equivalent of losing an entire day of progress.
- Priority 1: Hunt Quota (kill X monsters). Always in your current zone. ~6,000 XP.
- Priority 2: NPC Delivery quest. ~4,000 XP, 15-minute time investment.
- Priority 3: Faction War contribution. ~5,000 XP + faction standing.
- Priority 4: Crafting daily (if you have mats). ~3,000 XP for minor crafting.
- Complete all 4 in under 90 minutes if you plan your route efficiently
At level 55+, you unlock Normal dungeons which give substantial XP for their length. The two best dungeons for pure XP speed are The Sunken Crypt (18 min average, 22,000 XP) and Bloodwood Halls (24 min average, 31,000 XP).
- Run with a premade group — LFG dungeons average 30% slower due to coordination overhead
- DPS builds clear faster; don't tank unless your group has no other option
- First run of each dungeon each day gives +50% "First Clear" XP bonus — prioritize new dungeons over repeats
- Don't stop for loot unless it's an upgrade — looting adds 3–5 minutes per dungeon run
VvW runs weekly bonus events that overlap with your leveling window. These are non-trivial multipliers. Check the Event Calendar before planning your leveling week — timing your push during an XP event can cut days off your schedule.
- Blood Moon Weekend: All XP +50% for 48 hours. Occurs ~monthly.
- New Player Surge: First-time characters get +100% XP during promotional periods.
- Faction War Week: Faction quests and kills in contested zones give 2× XP.
- Anniversary Event: Annual event with +75% XP for the entire week.
- Stack your Elixirs and clan buffs during these events — the multipliers compound
7-Day Schedule
Assuming 4–6 hours of play per day:
Congratulations — now the real game begins. First priority: unlock your Prestige path. Second: start gearing via Infinity Tower and Mythic+. Third: join a competitive clan for Clan Wars.
The 7-day route is achievable for any player who plans their sessions and doesn't neglect the daily quest rotation. The single biggest time-waster in leveling: doing low-efficiency side quests instead of the priority methods above. Stay focused, use your multipliers, and you'll hit 80 before the weekend is out.
