How the Community Tier List Works
The VvW Community Tier List is not created by developers or theorycrafters in isolation. It is built entirely by players through a structured voting process:
- Submission Phase (Days 1–14): Any player can submit a build via the #build-submissions Discord channel. Submissions must include stat allocation, gear set, skill loadout, and a brief playstyle explanation.
- Testing Phase (Days 15–21): Community testers try submitted builds in both PvE and PvP contexts and leave feedback.
- Voting Phase (Days 22–28): All community members vote on each build's effectiveness. Builds are rated separately for PvE and PvP performance.
- Tier Assignment: Based on vote totals and tester feedback, builds are placed into S (dominant), A (strong), B (viable), or C (niche/situational) tiers.
Season 2's tier list received 347 build submissions and 2,417 unique voters. The 12 builds featured below represent the highest-voted submissions across all subclasses.

Guardian: "Thorns" — Reflect Damage Tank
Stats: Endurance 45 / Strength 30 / Ferocity 25. Uses Thorns Aura and Retribution passives to reflect 20% of incoming damage back to attackers. Hilarious when it works — melee attackers literally kill themselves hitting you — but easily countered by any ranged build. Submitted by MirrorKnight. 278 PvP upvotes.
Shadow Priest: "Void Walker" — Pure DPS Caster
Stats: Shadow Power 50 / Agility 30 / Vitality 20. Abandons all healing for maximum shadow damage. Void Eruption and Shadow Barrage deal enormous burst AoE. Warden: "Beast Master" — Pet-Focused Build
Stats: Ferocity 48 / Agility 30 / Endurance 22. Maximizes wolf companion damage through Ferocity stacking and Pack Leader synergies. Your wolf companion deals more damage than you do. Extremely strong in 1v1 duels (effectively a 2v1), but the companion AI struggles in chaotic team fights. Submitted by WolfWhisperer. 312 PvP upvotes.
How to Submit Your Build for Season 3
Season 3 build submissions open on May 1, 2026. Here is everything you need to prepare:
What Your Build Submission Must Include
1. Stat Allocation: Exact point distribution across all three stats for your subclass (must total 100 points).
2. Gear Set: Full equipment list including set bonuses, off-set pieces, rune choices, and weapon enchantments.
3. Skill Loadout: All five skill slots plus your ultimate selection, with brief explanation of each skill's role in the build.
4. Playstyle Guide: 100–300 word explanation of how to play the build effectively, including opener rotation, core combo, and situational adjustments.
5. Context Tag: Label your build as PvE-focused, PvP-focused, or Hybrid. Builds are voted on in the category they're submitted to.

Tips for Getting Your Build Voted High
- Be specific. "Stack Agility" is not a build guide. "48 Agility with Nightstalker Set for 23% crit chance and 1.8 attacks/second" is a build guide.
- Include matchup notes. "This build beats Guardians but loses to Wardens because..." shows depth of understanding that voters respect.
- Provide budget alternatives. Not everyone has Legendary gear. Showing that your build works with Rare-quality substitutes makes it accessible to more voters.
- Test it yourself. Theorycraft builds rarely survive contact with real gameplay. Submit builds you have personally tested for at least 20 hours.
