How to Get Legendary Gear in VvW 2026
Legendary gear in VvW comes from three places: the shop, the forge, and raid boss leaderboards. Each route has a different cost and a different speed. Here is how each one actually works.
Route 1: Buy It Straight From the Shop
The fastest route is also the simplest. Several Legendary weapons can be bought directly for gold, no crafting or drops required.
- Ancient Blood Blade — vampire-only, level 40 required, costs 8,000 gold.
- Eternal Moon Sword — werewolf-only, level 45 required, costs 9,000 gold.
- Void Cutter — no race restriction, level 50 required, costs 11,000 gold.
- Death's Edge — no race restriction, level 55 required, costs 13,000 gold.
This route only needs gold and the right level. It is the best option if you already have a strong gold income and just need to hit your race's level requirement first.
Route 2: Craft It at the Forge
Crafting produces the strongest Legendary weapons in the game, but it takes real preparation. Two recipes stand out:
- Moon Breaker — werewolf-only, requires level 60, costs 45,000 gold plus 44 crafting materials across 5 types, and takes 20 hours to finish at the forge.
- Void Crusher — open to any race, requires level 70, costs 50,000 gold plus 54 crafting materials across 5 types, and takes 24 hours to finish at the forge.
Both recipes reward 700-800 XP just for completing the craft, on top of the weapon itself. Because these take a full day or more, start the craft before you log off for the night. That way the timer runs while you are away.
Two Legendary materials feed into higher-tier crafting: Moon Crystal Fragment (worth 500 gold) and Blood Moon Shard (worth 400 gold). Blood Moon Shards are explicitly built to be used in legendary crafting, so hold onto them instead of selling them the moment you find one.
Route 3: Climb a Raid Boss Leaderboard
Raid bosses reward top damage-dealers with the best loot in the game. Finishing in the top 5 on a raid boss fight guarantees a Legendary-rarity reward, along with bonus gold and gems. Finishing in 1st place guarantees a unique Mythic-tier item instead, which is even rarer than Legendary.
For example, defeating Gorath the World-Eater (level 60 requirement) pays top-5 finishers 5,000 gold, 200 gems, and a random Legendary item. The 1st-place finisher gets all of that plus "Gorath's Fang," a Mythic weapon nobody else can obtain that week.
This route rewards raid preparation more than gold. Bring your best DPS build, coordinate with your clan, and aim for top 5 at minimum.
Which Route Is Fastest for You?
- Low on time, high on gold? Buy from the shop.
- Have a full 24 hours and a stocked material bag? Craft at the forge.
- Play in an active clan with strong raid gear already? Chase the leaderboard.
Most experienced players use all three at once: buy an early Legendary weapon to survive raids, then use raid rewards and crafted materials to upgrade further.
