Party System Basics
VvW supports parties of 2-4 players for dungeon content. Parties can only be formed by players who are in the same faction — you cannot run a party dungeon with a member of the opposing faction. Within your faction, any player can invite any other player who is not currently in an active dungeon run.
Party dungeons are separate instances from solo dungeons. When you enter a dungeon in party mode, the dungeon instance is shared — every party member is in the same fight, and the enemy HP scales to reflect the number of party members present. This means party mode is not simply "run the dungeon with help" — it is a different, harder version of the dungeon that rewards coordinated play.
How to Create and Join a Party
Navigate to the Party page (accessible from the main navigation). From there, select Create Party. Your party will be assigned a unique 6-character party code. Share this code with the players you want to invite — they can enter it on the Party page under Join Party.
The party leader (whoever created the party) controls which dungeon to enter and when to start. All party members must confirm readiness before the dungeon run begins. If a party member disconnects during a run, the dungeon continues with the remaining players, but HP scaling does not retroactively reduce — plan your compositions with this in mind.
Share your party code in your clan's chat channel for fastest recruitment. Clans with active dungeon groups often have a dedicated channel for party codes during peak hours.
HP Scaling and What It Means
Enemy HP in party dungeons scales based on the number of party members present when the dungeon begins. The scaling is not a simple multiplier — it is designed to be slightly favorable to well-coordinated parties while punishing random groupings with poor composition.
Base scaling is approximately +65% HP per additional party member beyond the solo baseline. A 2-person party faces enemies with ~165% of solo HP. A 3-person party faces ~230% HP. A 4-person party faces ~295% HP. This means a 4-person party's total team damage output must be at least 295% of a solo player's output to clear in equivalent time — achievable with good composition, but not automatic.
Bringing an underleveled or understatted party member does not help you — it increases enemy HP while adding limited damage. Only bring party members who meet the recommended level threshold for the dungeon tier you are running.
XP and Gold Split
Rewards in party dungeons are not evenly split from a single pool — each player receives individual reward calculations based on their damage contribution, then receives a party completion bonus on top. This means party dungeons are not zero-sum; everyone benefits from completing the dungeon, and contributing more damage increases your individual reward even within the party.
The party completion bonus is approximately 25% additional XP and 20% additional gold compared to clearing the same dungeon tier solo. This bonus applies to all party members regardless of damage contribution, meaning even a support-focused player who deals less damage still receives the party bonus for helping clear the dungeon.
Best Party Composition
The classic composition for high-tier dungeon clears is one tank, one primary DPS, and one healer-subclass support — filling three of the four available party slots. A fourth member running a secondary DPS role is optimal for the fastest clears, though three-person parties with a strong composition can clear all party dungeons.
Tank Role
Tanks prioritize VIT and defensive stats, drawing enemy aggro and absorbing damage that would otherwise eliminate squishy DPS players. Werewolves with their natural regeneration make excellent tanks, but high-VIT Vampires can fill this role effectively. The tank should have the highest HP pool in the party and should position their character in the first attack slot.
DPS Role
Primary DPS characters should run the highest damage builds their level supports — STR-focused Vampires or AGI-heavy builds that stack attack speed. The DPS player's job is to eliminate enemies as fast as possible, reducing the total damage the tank absorbs. Bring your best gear; dungeon DPS performance is where equipment quality shows most clearly.
Healer Subclass Support
The healer subclass provides HP restoration between encounter waves and can interrupt the longest enemy attack chains. This role is less about raw healing numbers (the system is not a traditional healer model) and more about extending the team's effective HP pool over a long dungeon run. Any race can fill this role, but skills that increase party-wide regeneration make it more effective.
Communication Tips
Efficient party dungeon runs rely on minimal coordination overhead. The most effective teams establish two things before entering: who is tanking (and confirms they are ready to take front position), and what dungeon tier you are targeting. Everything else — damage rotation, cooldown management — the game resolves through its combat system.
Use your clan's communication channels rather than trying to coordinate within the game's built-in chat during runs. Agree on your dungeon tier and party code before anyone queues up. If you are running with strangers rather than clanmates, use the party chat to at minimum confirm everyone knows their role before starting.

Party PvP Challenge Bonus
After completing a party dungeon at tier 8 or above, the party has the option to enter a Party PvP Challenge — a short structured fight against an AI-controlled opposing faction party of equivalent total stats. Winning this challenge awards a bonus reward cache on top of the dungeon clear rewards, including rare crafting materials and a small gem bonus.
The Party PvP Challenge is optional and adds approximately 5-10 minutes to your run. For organized parties that have cleared the target dungeon comfortably, it is almost always worth taking — the additional reward value per time invested is among the highest in the game.
