Before You Enter

  • Minimum level: 15 (recommended 18–20)
  • Item Level: 25+ for all gear slots
  • Consumables: Bring 5 health potions and 1 resurrection scroll
  • Group size: 1–4 players (scales with group size)

Getting There

The Shadow Crypts entrance is in the No Man's Land zone, northwest quadrant, marked by a glowing skull icon. Fast travel to the "Ash Plains Waypoint" and follow the road north for 2 minutes. The entrance is a large obsidian doorway.

Boss 1: The Hollow Knight

A heavily armoured undead knight. Key mechanics:

  • Ground Slam — creates a red circle under your feet. Move out within 2 seconds or take heavy damage.
  • Vulnerability Phase — at 70% and 40% HP, a glowing weak point appears on his chest. Burst damage into this point for triple damage. Phase lasts 10 seconds.
  • Shield Wall — at 50% HP he blocks frontal attacks for 8 seconds. Move to his back.

Boss 2: Wraithcaller Mira

A caster who summons adds. This boss punishes groups who ignore the interrupt mechanic:

  • When she begins channeling "Summon Dead" (2-second cast, visible bar above her head) — interrupt immediately
  • If she completes the cast: 3 adds spawn. Kill all adds before returning to her
  • She casts Summon Dead every 30 seconds regardless

💡 Interrupt Priority

Assign one player specifically to interrupt Wraithcaller Mira's casts. Two failed interrupts in a row typically causes a wipe for new groups.

Final Boss: Shadowlord Varek

Three-phase fight. The most complex boss in the dungeon:

  • Phase 1 (100–50% HP): Standard melee/magic attacks. Tank maintains aggro, DPS burns.
  • Phase 2 (50% HP trigger): Varek casts Dark Shroud — a separate health bar appears above his head representing the Shroud. Deal 100,000 damage to the Shroud within 60 seconds or the fight resets.
  • Phase 3 (after Shroud is broken): Varek is stunned for 5 seconds — maximum burst damage. Then resume normal combat until death.

Loot and Rewards

First clear each week awards Bonus Loot chest containing 1 rare item. Normal runs award 1 uncommon item per boss plus gold and crafting materials. Shadow Crypts gear is Item Level 30–35.
