PvP ELO System Explained
How VvW's ranked PvP matchmaking and ELO rating system works.
VvW uses a modified ELO system with a 3000-point range. Win against higher-rated opponent: +30 ELO. Win against lower-rated: +12 ELO. Loss: inverse. Provisional period: first 20 games of each season use accelerated ELO (×2 gain/loss). Season resets compress ELO toward 1500 by 25% (Diamond players start at ~2125). Inactivity penalty: -10 ELO per week after 2 weeks inactive.
