Void Scholar Ren — Character Lore
The backstory and motivations of Void Scholar Ren, VvW's most important neutral NPC.
Void Scholar Ren was born into a Covenant noble family but abandoned vampiric society at age 200 to study dimensional physics at the Eclipse Academy. He has spent 600 years researching the Void Rift, having sacrificed nearly all vampiric abilities for pure intellectual power. Ren is the only being in Aeternum who fully understands the Void Overlord's origin — and the only one who believes it can be reasoned with rather than destroyed. His quest line is the closest thing to a peace resolution in VvW's lore.
