The Void Rift is a dimensional tear caused by the overuse of the Void Chalice across millennia. Each time vampiric power was channeled on a massive scale (major wars, Blood Moon events), the dimensional fabric weakened. The first Void Rift appeared in Year 2900 above the Shattered Wastes — already a devastated zone from Blood War VI. The Void Rift Overlord is not a created being but a void entity that pushed through the dimensional weakness. Void Scholar Ren believes closing it permanently requires both faction cooperation — unprecedented in 2,000 years.
