3,000 years after the Void Chalice incident, a rare celestial alignment — the First Eclipse — bathed Aeternum in a combination of void darkness and moon energy. Mortals exposed during the alignment were transformed into the first werewolves. Unlike the vampiric transformation, the Eclipse change was involuntary, affecting thousands simultaneously. Alpha Bloodfang's ancestor was the first to lead these transformed people, forming the foundation of the Conclave.
