Monster & Boss Drop Tables

Approximate drop rates for the loot you actually care about — item name, rarity, chance and source enemy across VvW's key monsters, world bosses and dungeons. Plan your farm before you log in.

Common Monsters

Open-world trash mobs found across the starting zones. High volume, low value — ideal for stacking crafting materials and topping up gold. Rates assume no active drop boosts.

Tattered ShroudCommon~35%Restless Ghoul

Community-observed averages over 10,000+ logged kills. Use the loot value calculator to convert stacks into gold estimates.

Elite Monsters

Named elites patrol the outer zones and hit far harder than trash. They carry the first reliable source of Epic gear and enchant reagents.

World Bosses

Timed spawns that demand a full clan. The lowest drop rates on this page but the only source of tradeable Legendary uniques. Coordinate with a respawn timer so you never miss the window.

Legendary rolls are independent per kill — the ~0.5% figure is a long-run average, not a pity counter.

Dungeon Loot

Instanced runs with dense elite packs and a guaranteed end-chest. The best gold-per-hour on the list once you can clear them quickly.

Drop Rate FAQ

How do drop rates work in Vampires vs. Werewolves?
Each enemy has an independent loot table. On every kill the server rolls once per possible item, so a listed 5% chance means roughly 1 in 20 kills yields that item on average. Rolls are independent, so a rare drop can appear on your first kill or after hundreds — the percentages describe long-run averages, not guarantees.
What is the best farming spot for rare loot?
For steady value, farm the Crypt of Whispers dungeon: its elite packs drop Epic sigils at about 3% while clearing quickly. For chase items, run world bosses like the Blood Regent and Alpha Fenris — their drop rates are lower but the Legendary rewards are far higher value. Use the loot value and gold farming calculators to compare gold-per-hour before committing.
Do drop-rate boosts stack in VvW?
Yes, most drop-boost sources stack additively. A Blood Moon event bonus (+50%), a luck-food buff (+15%) and a premium loot charm (+25%) combine to +90% on top of the base rate. A 5% base drop would become roughly 9.5% while all three are active. Boosts apply to item rolls only, not to guaranteed quest rewards.
What are the rarest items and where do they drop?
The rarest tradeable items are Legendary world-boss uniques: the Crown of the Blood Regent (~0.5% from Blood Regent Malakar) and the Lunar Fang Greatblade (~0.8% from Alpha Fenris). Expect long farming sessions and use a boss respawn timer so your clan is ready the moment they spawn.
Are these drop rates official?
The figures on this page are community-observed approximations gathered from thousands of logged kills and cross-checked against the in-game odds disclosure. Actual rates may shift with patch balancing, so treat them as planning estimates rather than exact server values.
